Department of Zoology

Department of Zoology was established along with college in 2007 as a part of Science Faculty. The Department of Zoology provides a good environment for student, it also grooms and trains students in the modern techniques of science. The Department has sufficient space and the laboratories for practical activities. The laboratories of Zoology department have all necessary instruments and infrastructure to carry out Theory and Practical as per the syllabus provided by the Savitribai Phule Pune University. The Department is organizing from time to time, seminars, exhibitions and excursion tours.

Activities in the Department

• Student Seminars are conducted for almost every course
• Guest speakers are invited for the students to share about topics directly related to their syllabus.
• Staff members participate in various Seminars/Workshops/Conferences held at State/National/International level.
• Interclass Quiz on Zoology syllabus.
• In the regular teaching teachers encourage students to prepare Posters and Power point presentations related to their syllabus.
• Students are encouraged to contribute articles to the College Magazine.
• Field Visits, Institutional Visits , Study Tours and Excursions are arranged on a regular basis.
