At Someshwar Science College Someshwar Nagar a collective reading program was organized by the Student Development Board

"on 06/01/2025, at Someshwar Science College Someshwar Nagar, as per the government circular and under this innovative initiative of Reading Resolution Maharashtra implemented by Savitribai Phule Pune University, a collective reading program was organized by the Student Development Board and the library for the students and teachers of the college. The program was presided over by the Principal of the college, Dr. S.B. Suryavanshi, as well as the teachers and non-teaching staff in large numbers.

A book exhibition was organized in the library in connection with this program, and to instill a love of reading, a lecture by Prof. Pingale S.G. was organized as the chief guest. He gave detailed information about reading to the students and advised them how self-reliant they become through reading and that every student should read at least one hour every day. In this way, the program was successfully completed."
